A Message from our Board Chair
After nearly six decades as NAIOP, all NAIOP Chapters across North America have formally rebranded to the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA). Our local chapter is now known as CREDA Edmonton Region. The addition of “Region” to our name reflects the broader geography and industry ecosystem we serve across the City of Edmonton and the greater Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
For many of us, the NAIOP name carries tremendous meaning. It represents decades of leadership, relationships, advocacy, professional growth, and a shared commitment to advancing our industry. A legacy we are incredibly proud of and will continue to honour.
The new brand builds on a strong foundation while positioning this association for the future. Today’s industry leaders do more than develop buildings - they create the spaces and places that drive economic growth, support businesses, and strengthen communities. Developers. Owners. Investors. Consultants. Lenders. Brokers. Contractors. Industry Partners. Our members represent a diverse range of asset classes, including industrial, office, retail, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, logistics, data centres, and more. Together, we are shaping the places where people live, work, shop, innovate, and connect. Whether we are meeting with municipal leaders, provincial decision-makers, industry partners, or prospective members, our branding now communicates the industry we represent and the value commercial real estate development brings to our communities.
As Board Chair, I am excited about what this new chapter represents. Commercial real estate development is helping address the most important opportunities and challenges facing our region. From economic diversification and investment attraction to housing, infrastructure, sustainability, and community growth.
Our partners and members are helping shape that future every day.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your continued engagement, leadership, and support. The foundation built by generations of volunteers, members, and partners has made this next chapter possible. And while our name has changed, our strategic priorities remain the same: to advocate, engage and elevate the commercial real estate development industry.
We are proud of our legacy as NAIOP Edmonton.
We are excited for our future as CREDA Edmonton Region.
